Sheitels & Kosher Wigs in Palm Beach, FL

Unhurried, private, and built around what you actually need. Walk in or book ahead.

Buying a sheitel in Palm Beach has mostly meant waiting for someone to fly in. A seller tours through every few months, you choose from whatever fits in the suitcase, and if the cap turns out wrong six weeks later there is nobody left in town to take it back to. I fit sheitels from a fixed studio, which mainly means you can come back.

Everyday Pieces and Shabbos Pieces

These are different jobs. An everyday sheitel takes the school run, the humidity and being pushed off your face forty times a day, so it wants to be comfortable before it is beautiful. A Shabbos piece can be finer and worn less. Most women settle on two over time, but there is nothing wrong with starting with one good piece and adding the second later.

The Cap Is What You Live In

Hair gets all the attention and the cap decides whether you wear the thing. I fit to your measurements — where it sits at the nape, how tight it runs across the front, whether it presses behind your ears by the afternoon. If you have been taking a sheitel off the moment you get home, that is a cap problem, not a hair problem, and it is usually fixable in a single visit without touching the hair at all.

Virgin European Hair, Hand-Tied

Unprocessed European and Slavic hair, tied in by hand over forty to sixty hours. Unprocessed hair takes color evenly and holds a cut, so a piece can be restyled across years rather than replaced each season. A great deal of hair sold as European has been stripped and re-dyed to look the part; it behaves differently within months, usually right after the return window closes.

Wash, Set and Restyle — Including Pieces From Elsewhere

I take in sheitels bought anywhere. A wash and set on a piece that has gone flat, a re-cut on one that was cut badly, a color refresh as your own hair changes underneath it. It is the least glamorous work I do and probably the most useful, because a good sheitel that is looked after will outlast two cheap ones and cost less over the years.

Getting Here from Palm Beach

My North Palm Beach studio opens October 1st at 11575 US-1, Suite 303, about twenty minutes from the island by US-1, with parking on site. From West Palm Beach it is fifteen. The studio is women-only, and I am open Sunday through Friday, closed Saturday, with Fridays finishing early before Shabbos.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the hair kosher and unprocessed?
Virgin European and Slavic hair, unprocessed, hand-tied. Nothing is blended with synthetic fibre and nothing is chemically stripped and re-dyed to pass as European.

Can you wash and set a sheitel I bought elsewhere?
Yes, and I do it constantly. A wash, set and restyle brings back a piece that has gone limp, and it costs a fraction of replacing it.

Do I need a separate sheitel for Shabbos?
Most women end up with two — an everyday piece they are not precious about and a better one kept for Shabbos and Yom Tov. Starting with one good piece is perfectly reasonable.

Are you open on Shabbos?
No. I am open Sunday through Friday and closed Saturday, and Fridays finish early. Yom tov closures are posted before each chag.
