Every strand is tied into the cap by hand, so it moves the way growing hair does rather than sitting in sewn rows. The lace is cut to her own hairline at the fitting, never before it: that edge is where a wig usually gives itself away.

Treatment leaves the scalp tender, so hold has to come from precise measurement rather than grip or adhesive. The base is built to the actual shape of her head, the lining is soft and breathable, and there are no clips or combs digging in. It also has to survive a Florida summer, which is its own test.
Where the hair comes from
When Courtney was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in December, her friend Britney didn’t think twice. Courtney had always loved Britney’s hair — the beachy, wavy, effortless kind she still calls mermaid hair.
Courtney handed her a pair of scissors out of her kids’ art box and told her to just cut, right there. Britney said no. Then she called us and asked whether we would take her hair and turn it into something — and we said what we always say.
The piece it became was cut and fitted on Courtney, with the lace trimmed to her own hairline at the fitting rather than before it.

Topper · natural volume
Regrowth arrives thin, and often a different texture than before. A topper clips into what is already there and adds density through the crown and the part, so the in-between months do not have to be spent under a full wig. Clip positions are set at the fitting — about fifteen minutes — and after that it is a thirty-second job in the morning.

Before you book
You sit down privately with a stylist and talk through what you are looking for and what your hair is doing now. We look at options, show you hair and cap constructions in person, and take head measurements if you are ready for that step. Nothing is decided on the day unless you want it to be.
The consultation is complimentary and runs 60 to 90 minutes depending on what you are coming in for. No card is required to book, and there is no charge if you decide the timing is not right.
No. Plenty of people come in to understand their options and go away to think — that is a normal outcome and it is not treated as a wasted appointment. Pricing is explained openly so you can weigh it without having to ask twice.
Photos of your hair as it used to be, if you have them — they are the most useful thing for matching color and shape. And any piece you already own: most wigs and toppers that never sat right can be recut and rescued, and it is faster to show you the difference side by side than to describe it.
Yes — bring whoever makes you feel comfortable. Dorin is a private, women-only studio, and your appointment is you, anyone you bring, and your stylist.
Not to come in or be fitted. A prescription is only needed if you want to claim on insurance or use FSA/HSA funds, and it must read "cranial prosthesis due to [your diagnosis]". You can come in first and bring the paperwork later. Full coverage guide.
